Abdul Mansoor Ibrahim

ABDUL MANSOOR IBRAHIM (b.1952, Selangor) is a Malaysian senior artist best known for his role in printmaking in Malaysia. He studied at the School of Art and Design (Fine Art) ITM, Malaysia in 1971-75. He studied at Atelier 17 and Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris in 1977-1980. Mansoor also received many prestigious international accolades such as the French government Cultural Exchange Scholarship and French government visiting Grant to Lyon and Paris.

Abdul Mansoor becomes among few Malaysian artists who are disciples of Atelier Centrepoint, Paris under tutelage from Sir Stanley William Hayter. He is also known for his skill in the art of printing and themes from landscape and nature. His works ranging from drawings, prints using end grain wood engraving, viscosity print, and etching that highlight the dying art of printmaking.
